Snowy, Quiet Christmas

December was a very snowy month and kept us home a lot, even during Christmas. Here's some pictures of the snow we dealt with at our house.

Still smiling at the beginning of December.

About 2 hours later, while Jacob was sleeping, Jeff and I had dug a path to the house, cleared the sidewalk and could get one of the cars out of the driveway.

As I said, we stayed indoors a lot. What did we do that whole time?

We decorated the house & wrapped Christmas presents.
Jacob: "Mommy's Christmas present sure is big, I wonder what Daddy got her."

Jacob discovered new things to play with. He emptied a portion of a kitchen cabinet so he could climb INSIDE. He was quite proud of himself, but wasn't thrilled when Daddy closed the door on him.

It snowed some more......it piled up on our front bushes so much Jacob couldn't even really see out the window!

More shoveling......not as happy by the end of December.

We could barely get the door open to even do any shoveling!

Christmas Eve, Jeff was so antsy to open Christmas presents (he couldn't keep new glider rocking chair for the nursery a secret another day!). The Christmas Eve service at church was canceled and we were snowed in with nothing better to do so I agreed.

We bought Jacob a tool bench, he liked using his new tools to help Daddy put it together.
